How does everyone pay for their stuff?

I'm a poor college student, and I had to sell my setup earlier this year to pay for smartness. I'm gonna go crazy if I can't get back into the sport, but I have no idea how I'll ever come up with $1000 for another setup, let alone the money to actually use it. I know credit cards are an option, but I hate the idea of spending money that isn't mine. So, how does everyone fuel their addiction in the midst of paying for life at the same time? I don't want to hear "mummy and daddy," this is a poll for people out on their own, or close to it.

Except for my Angel (Which I had to save for), it's usually been a bit here and a bit there. Of course, your definition of bit may vary, as I can blow up to $1000CDN a month on a hobby (Single & Employed), it's a matter of which hobby to blow it on.

This is of course coming from the guy who bought 10 dark angels off of a webpage error and then plans to sell them for a profit

I have a job. I'm kinda like Hoppy. Save up money in the account until I can buy what I want, then make up the difference.

I just use whatever scraps I can find resulting from my last job...I sell whatever I don't need, and wait for good deals. Oh and don't worry about holding onto something you don't need for a long time...eventually, someone will need what you're trying to sell, and you can shoot up the price.

I see, thanks for the posts, guys. I figured credit wasn't a good idea, I'm debt free at this point and would like to remain that way. I'd love to be sponsored, I was a while ago, but all I basically got was free paint. I'm a full time engineering student though, and I don't have the time to be dragging myself all over the west to compete. I usually recycle old stuff into money, the only problem is that I want to keep all my stuff right now!

Tell ya what, guys, if half the people on AO donated one dollar, it would put me in the setup pf my dreams! C'mon, people, just one dollar via paypal!

I bought my minimag from the first check, a 68/45kpsi bulldog tank from the next paycheck, then i dropped part of the next check for an Iframe, a Dropzone and hoses, then the out of the next check, I got a revvy and Omega Body rail (which are currently backordered at paintball gear.), and I'm waiting for a smartparts gas thru grip as the last necessary part (They gave me the wrong style grip so I had to send it back). All in all, I started purchasing this setup back in early November, and it looks like the first time I'll get to play with it is Jan 11! that's like, forever... ( i havent even gassed it up, yet)

We should have an AO drawing like this. Anyone who wants to donate 1dollar via paypal can enter, then 1 person every month is drawn.
