I cant believe no one said this, work your friggin angles dude!

For instance, im lefty, and i play right back. there expecting a righty to be there(well not any more, since i told you) it really helps

Scream, scream like a little girl, hell watch bob long play, thats what he does, he is constantly calling out posistions

Hosing is not neccasarily needed, a few well placed snapshots will get a hoser out of your hair easily. Dont concentrade solely on hosing, it will hurt you when some back man catches you off guard.

Find a 2ndary bunker, and make it your business to move there. I always move my bunker, it worries the other team, as it should

Shoot fast, if your going to snap or hose, keep that line of paint going man

get one hella big pod belt. Personally i olny go on with 5, but as i said, i dont hose like a mofo

DOnt let your fronts get out, especially on the break, you and your other back, should be standing there hosing for a good 3 seconds before you move to your bunkers, dont worry, it will be hard for any one to hit you, still likely, but hard.

Keep the fronts alive. this is very important, especially your flag man, he needs to get that friggin flag, thats what, like 5o points in a 5 man? those are good, healthy points

Dont communicate with your fronts, that is what the middle man is for, communicate with them, then depending on what they can see, and you cant, a good mid would relay any and all information

when you scream, scream clearly, short, loud easy to uinderstand sentances are key, thats why alot of backs flip their flex 7's up, it makes it easier for every one else to hear

DO NOT GET TUNNEL SYNDROME. dont pick one person to shoot at. A back needs to hit everyone on the field if they can. that is very important. dont worry as much about that other back player, your mids should take him out, try to hit their mids, and thier front, but be aware fo the other backs, if you can hit them, takemthe shot, but dont concentrate on them

be careful of the other angels on you. once a mid gets in a good posistion on a diagonal to you, your screwed, another good reason to have your back up bunkers

Watch the video with kapp kids on Fon, there is some great back players on that vid, it will help you learn alot

Talk about paintball day in and day out with your team members. Make sure they know the routine

Make sure yourteam respects you, normally they think he is a back hoser, that is his job, his insite doesnt matter, all he needs to do is hose. Make sure they listen to what you say at all times

again, i cannot stress this enough, make sre your team talks, last tourny i was in, my whole team actually got eliminated, and didnt say a thing, they just walked off.

move your marker like a flash, you need to be able to aim at the back left can, as well as that front pikachu(also called rockets, i mean the little ones.

when you move your head, bring your marker with it, this is key... this helps you fire as soon as you see the oppertunity

and when all else fails, HOSE at every one

for lawn chair advice, well ask kaiserbob

Play up front in practice, thats the best way to understand how to be a better back player.

Practice the Cross Defense with your other back player.

As the game progresses and time gets short get more aggressive.

If your team starts steamrolling the field leave the back bunker and move with them.

Thank you Tom for reminding me. If you need to play defense the best way to do it is to cross it up from the back. Actually this works most of the time. What you want to do is have the back right corner watch the left side of the field and have the back left watch the right side. this way you both cover each others tapes and still can watch the center of the field. Try not to look down your tape but let the opposite corner watch it for you. When you look down your tape this leave a HUGE section of field un-watched. This allows the other team to move up etc without your seeing. When you cross it, you see everything and still have the tape covered. As i am a lefty i also often play back right like Magman. This is very effective. It easily lets me watch the left tape.

It is also very important to not be afraid to empty a hopper off the break. If you can keep them from taking key posistions it will really help your team win. If you can take the key bunkers off the break ie the 50 and keep them to their 40 then you can control the game. Make them play defensivly.

P.S. its 2 am so please forgive any spelling errors.

when your middies want it, give them cover, like someone said, we're the gamebreakers!

seriously though, you move your front and mid guys up, and then move with them. I'm not a back player though...

Thank you magman I was beginning no one would make mention of us mid players! Don't try to yell up to your front guys, if they can hear it then the front guy on the other team 5 ft in front of them can hear it. Working in pairs is a really good idea. Team up with a mid guy, and PRACTICE with them. Call them up every day and talk about paintball. I play mid, and me and my back/front guys know each other so well, we know where we're going to move and when we're gonna do it. As everyone has already said, communication will win the game. You don't want to know how many people I've hit because their back guy didn't tell them I was there. Oh another thing ... work on accuracy before you EVER worry about speed.

Well that's about it good luck on the field!
