Dont you just hate it when you go to a field to have a nice day of paint ball fun and you get ref's that just sit on the side of the field talkint to one another. The last game i field i was at the ref was actually eating his lunch on the field during the game. Most of the time i dont even see the the point in having ref's if they arnt going to do there job. Now i know that this is not how it is every where and i have been to fields were the ref's do their jobs. So i just want to say to all those ref's out there, Look at yourself and do the job you are there to do and i would like to thank the ones that do there jobs good.

How did the ref eat with his mask on?

I don't care for it when the refs seem more interested in making sure their friends are "well taken care of" instead of keeping everything level.

I can understand how this happens, as most times refs are doing so for free playtime.

On the flipside I really get a kick out of it when the "little kid" ref slaps down the "experienced player" because he feels the rules don't apply to him and his high priced gear.

you can eat lunch with a flex mask on...i once slid into my bunker flipped up my flex part of the mask and threw up..the carrots didnt agree with me that day

I like my proteus... because last time I played with a flex, I tripped over some log and friggen did a back flip and my head hit a tree and my mask almost came off... whenever I wear a proteus its so tight to my face I don't even realize its there...

But I hate lazy refs, Splat Attack refs are real players and they don't like waiting for the next game to start so they keep it going how they would like refs to act

How did he eat with the mask on? That's not cool...I'm learning how to ref at the field I play on...it takes alot of attention and responsibility...plus having to deal with all the guys that don't follow the rules because they have an "oh so cool spyder blah blah..." whatever...please...

Hehehe, we went for a day at an extremely large paintball field in Mass. (hint: was nothing like heaven), about 40 minutes away from school. Our group was huge, and they ran out of rentals for the rentals despite having reserved spots a month in advance and confirmed (we then waited for 3 hours for them to get some crappy 32* markers for the rentals). It was the most horribly run place I've ever seen once we hit the field. The ref's were snobby bastards who told the players "play safe, or I'll roll you down the stairs" and the other chimed in "and I'll kick you." When a friend and I got to a game late, the ref was willing to start us BEHIND the opposing team, without a care for the opponents safety. We declined and said we'd wait for the next game. Towards the end of the day we got sick of their reluctancy to do their job. They wouldn't move much, didn't keep on top of the game, and got more rude. When the last game of the day came, and we knew none of us were ever going back there we had some fun... yeah, we shot the refs. One guy managed a nut-shot on one of the more rude ref's. Wasn't the best thing to do, but we were feeling ripped off.

Yeah, I really hate refs that don't do their jobs. Especially refs that favor their friends. I wouldn't say that every ref at splat-attack is perfect Blaze(remember the marine guy. ). Earlier this summer I was on the sidlines wating my friend Brady put paint right on this guy Hunter's visor and he kept wiping right in front of one of the the refs which was one of his friends. The ref didn't do a thing about it even after I went and told him that those were all direct hits. He just told me that as long as noone else noticed it didn't matter. Oh well I haven't seen that ref there after that so I'm not gonna worry about it.

ill tell you as a ref theres a reason u may see us favor people. there are some people i ask if theyve been hit from across the field, and ill literally take their word for it. these are people that we know about, that we talk to, that we know dont cheat and have no reason to. other people, we will bust their asses down a notch or two cause we think theyre wiping. sorry, but i really hate wiping. I JUST HATE IT.

I'm siding with the ref's on this one

At my local field the refs act as side safety monitors during wood-recball and speed-recball, but during touneys they get hugely involved. It seems that in my part of the world, players (experienced or newbs respectively) act very strangely:

WE PLAY FAIR!!

Stange as it is we call our own hits. I've never heard of or seen people wiping or anything else like that (there is the the normal, odd, accidental playing on and bonus-balling but that's about it).

If the ref's being safety negligent that's another matter entirely, and should be dealt with by the field owner.
