How does a Co2 trank sound when you tap it with a finger or another object?

if you hit it with a screw driver does it makes a ping sound, my friend said it supposed to echo that ping sound for a few seconds so you know that it is full. is this true?

the way i tell if its full is to hold it and swish it around a bit and if it gets cold it probably has some co2 in it.

to me...after handling thousands of them...i acn tell a tanks approx fullness just by holding it...sad no?

I agree with Kev, after filling thousands and thousands of tanks I am now a co2 aficionado. You just hold it and judge by size to weight.
