Pop-ups???????

Is is just me? Or is anyone else getting pop-up windows while here? I've NEVER gotten one before today.... and now they wont stop! I hate pop ups!!!!

it's not this site.. it's something else, I was palying CS the other day ( yeah I'm back in it ) and i got knocked outta game by a popup. This is pissing me off, I'm going to start nuking these ppl. I was told that a 9 volt battery on a telephone terminal can do damage to the "other side" can anyone confim this. If this starts on my cell phone I'll be suing left and right...

HEAT is correct, it is NOT this Site.

It was from someplace you had been BEFORE, that left the command on your system. I hate those guys. You can set them to do random delays, and more.

This goes directly to the conversation being had in Friendly Corner. And it only accomplishes two things.

1) You upset the viewers.
2) You create a "view" of a particular ad that is being paid for.

But the question I ask is this.. if the view pisses off people, isn't it more effective NOT to show the ad?

These guys need to get a clue. It is NOT about numbers. I would rather have 10 people see my Ad the right way and get 10 clients, than have 1000 people see my Ad the WRONG way and get 2 clients and 998 negative reactions.

But hey, that is just me.

top this, @ home raised it's serice charges another 10$ today. That's 16$ in one year! I pay 59$ for internet, after taxes and a mistierious 1.50$ connection charge....

Why? Cause they have a monopoly! they asked if I would like to have cable hooked up for free!?
I asked if they would jsut leave off the 10$ service update.
"I'm sorry sir, that's not an option".
So you're giving my free cable, that's already coming into my house for 10$.
" Well, we do have to take the block off so you can get cable"
I know that, but you are charging me 10$ for something that's already there?
" No it's a service update with perks"
So you want me to be happy that I'm getting charged an X-tra 10$ a month?

To clearify - there are NO POP UPS on this site. And there NEVER will be! I HATE them with a passion - and as long as I am webmaster, even if we turn to more advertising or something, there will not be pop ups.


Now - if you are using the java chat, when someon private messages you it will pop up a private chat window. That is the soft ware. There are bots on IRC that scan for user names and messages them spam - usualy its porn. Sorry - I have no control over that.

Other than that - I too have had weird pop ups that come from no where that seem to me some timed cookie or java applet - freaking annoying -
