GZ Field Test

yup, I did the SIN and bought a BobLong GZ...

first my reasons before I get nailed...

in order from highest to lowest ..

1)My proshop is a BobLong TECH and there are no AGD techs around
2)The gun is lighter then the Emag
3)I don't lose shooting Speed
4)doesn't chop paint either
5)Cocker threads
6)Vert Feed...

with that said and out of the way... my field test...

First day on the field with the gun.. my set up

New Blue GZ
Full Freak
12V Rev X
68/45 Java Nitro Tank
Dropzone II drop, with on/off

I don't have a "super" tank, but I had nooo problems out shooting my Revy.
The whole day I did not chop a single ball.. *I shot 1 case of anarchy paint in 4 hours.

I was able to hold the gun and run with it well. Sliding and diving was easier... The trigger is a bit more PICKIE then the Emag... it's "crisper"

Over all, I had a great day at the field, and I will give the GZ a rating for the "DAY OF PLAY" a 9 ....

I didn't have a single problem with it...

Congrats on the GZ!

Though I got to hold an X-mag today, and boy is that sucker lightweight. Of course the GZ are still cheaper

I have a gz and i love it. It is the best gun i have ever owned (yes i have owned an emag). There are a couple of things that i would suggest for your gun:

1. WAS Board. I know that a lot of people complain about the hype that WAS puts out. Let me tell you this board made my gun noticebly faster. It also has nice eye modes. The best being forced eye mode which will only fire the gun when there is a ball. Thus you cannot chop.

2. System X reaper trigger. This trigger is really nice if you like blade type triggers. It is much nicer then the pbk blade imo. The pbk trigger sticks way too far forward and is not comfortable.

3. Titanium Ram. This is not necesesay but will noticebly lower the kick in your gun.

4. Evolution II. I would strongly suggest that you get one of these hoppers. You will notice that it is very easy to outshoot your 12 volt very quickly. On a gz i would suggest the evo over a halo. I had tons of problems with my halo on the gz. It would cause the gun to be a blender. Today i used an evo II on my gz and i didnt break a single ball in the gun. I shot two cases trough it and i was amazed. The hopper is also plenty fast and i didnt have to worry about it keeping up.

These are some of the basic upgrades that i have on my gun and i really like. I suggest all these things after trying them and liking them. I would also suggest that you get a volumizer and I have a snatch grip on my gun that I like a lot. You can get all this stuff at www.sfpaintballcenter.com just email Chris and he will hook you up.

I would buy a Trix over a Timmy, Angel over a Trix, an Xmag over an Angel... and a SFL over an Xmag...

you like the Dragon over the GZ..... cool.. I personally like the GZ... has a totally different feel to it...

as far as the GZ being ugly.... you have got to be joking.. and the Dragons.... being ugly.... you need to lay off whatever it is your smoking =]

Thanks for the tips on the GZ...
but I didn't think that the WAS board would fit in the GZ.. cause the GZ frame is smaller... and thus everything is tighter.......

The was board totally fits in the 45 frame no problem. In fact it is smaller then the sob board that you have now.
