i always cut my macro with scissors, and the end of it always comes out all messy and rough.. then i end up sanding it for like a half an hour..

Use wire cutters and when you are done, put some oil on the ends, so it slides and removes better.

No wonder you guys have a hard time with Macro...Scissors? Wire cutters? You have got to be kidding me. Use a Macro cutter or a razor knife.

I use one of these because i got it free, and it was meant to cut plastic tubing. It also makes the cuts perfect...no sanding need, it makes a perfect 90 degree edge.

I have better luck with a simple sharp knife over a razor knife. I find the razor blades tend to bend and flex enough that it can be difficult to cut a straight edge. I just got a composite folding buck knife, works great.

that most people would take it as some kind

I got some nail trimmers for a dog and oddly, they work great. The cut through it like a knife through butter and never leave it uneven. Works great and cheap too.
