the 2k's or 2k1's were still made by pro paintball werent they? i notice a difference in front blocks etc, so i was wondering if any one had insite. also the difference in detent

I think one of the cocker users on the field this past weekend said the same thing to me about owning me ... about 5 mins later I think the 3 shots on his stomach and mask were from me ...

The new ones... like the second one posted... are made for Dark by P&P, which use only the stock STO components. The only thing special is the body-milling and the colors.
The really good Darks were the ones contract-built with the tear drop bodies from Professional Paintball... you get the lifetime warranty, and all the Pro goodies. Which means you're getting a Palmer/Pro front end, the good valve and hammer, and a free tungsten hammer/Free Flow valve upgrade whenever you want it.
In other words: The older Darks were MUCH better.

I agree I like th 2k1 Dark Cokckers much better for preformence purposes even though the new ones have sool milling.
