    A New Leaf

Based on some of the really cool custom jobs I've seen here on AO, I've decided to give it a try for myself. I'm sure my work will suck at first, or might not ever improve. But I still want to try. Although I have a few questions. I already have a dremal and all the tools neccessary to make things. I just need to know what kind of aluminum I need to buy. I'm pretty sure there are different kinds, although I could be wrong. There is a place near here where I can buy aluminum, I just need to know what kind to ask for. I think this is something everyone should try at least once.

What are you trying to make? If you are thinking of making a new body for your mag AGD is selling Slugos in the online store, but you will most likely need something a little more than a Dremal tool.

I just waned to do small stuff at first, like sight rails, front grips, etc. I don't plan on selling anything. And I deffinitely don't think I wll be doing anything big any time soon

You can't mill a body with a dremel. You need big milling machines, like a CNC machine.

Sure you can, you'll just spend 500 hours and $500 worth of grinding wheels to get it done

You can do anything a Dremel

you dont need a $60000 CNC machine to play around with milling. look at some of the hobby milling machines. they are about $500.
