How durable is the Teflon coating?

I am curious, I am thinking about going with a black mag what is difference between that and painting it?

i'm pretty sure its not even teflon anymore, something a little more advanced. i like mine, i think the flat black thing goes well with mags, powdercoating it will give you a shiny coating, but its all how you want the gun to look. there are some people on the board that do some great powdercoating jobs if you are interested.

i have a black teflon body. its great. i bought it used and was suprised how good of condition it was in but now i know why. shallow scratches go away if you rub them. it's a good color. gets spots on it from gun oil but whipes right off.
BTW, hostage, where in Rochester? i am from Ontario. close by. it's almost a subrurb but not.
