Female AO members, could you help me out?

Truthfully, most girls arent interested in those kinds of things at all and will never be. Other girls probably wont go because their friends arent going.

So, I was wondering if the female members of AO could shed some light on the topic of asking girls to go play paintball

you should probably offer to bring them by the field and let them watch several games to get a better impression of paintball. Once there, you can explain everything that they need to know about the marker and game. You can also mention that they can wear a chest and/or neck protector if that will make them feel more secure. Bring several girls out which will help to encourage them to try it out instead of feeling intimidated in a field full of males. I had no trouble being the only female, I've always been involved in some sport where I was either the only female or one of a few. Anyway, I hope it works out!

Yeah I guess it does make sense, when I first started I didn't want to go play without my friends, but now it doesn't really matter.

ok im the president of the paintball club at my school and it was my job today to get people interested (we are a brand new club so we had 0 members to begin with.) so i know guys wont give me trouble on signing up but what really would be a club without girls??? so i showed picks of real girls playing paintball (thanks clare.) and i explained to them that paintball is really a combination of tag and capture the flag. plus i reinforced it with the fact that when you have the adrenaline pumping you dont even realize that your hit. another good thing to say is that paintball takes brains and that since girls are smarter they are naturally better. of the people i had sign up half of them were female. so there are ways to get the ladies to find interest. you just gotta point out how safe it is and how much fun it is.

Most girls arnt into paintball. I took my sister paintballing at a friends house once, and after i shot her like 8 times she was like "WOAH, NOT FOR ME! SHOPPING AT THE MALL GIVES ME MORE OF A RUSH". Well, she didnt say that exactly, but you could tell she wasnt to interested.

well obviously cause i dont think anyone likes being shot 8 times in a span of 1 second. use common knowledge.

My girlfriend likes to play. She is just nowhere into it as much as I am. That kind of turns her off to it. If they think that they will be destroyed every game in about 10 seconds they usually don't want to play. PB really is a level playing field. There is little physical difference between guy and girl players. You don't need to be incredibly strong or fast or quick to have fun playing. You could also tell them they get to shoot guys. That usually gets them to be more receptive.

I kind of don?t have a girlfriend (you?d think they?d like the guy that holds doors for them and compliments them but noooo, they want the guy that wears the Abercrombie clothes and is captain of the basketball team, but that?s a different story) Thanks.
