I almost killed an X-mag yesterday

Some of blackcell and I were at cousins paintball in long island and ran into wonderpug and his buds. Wonderpug has a cnc X-mag #17, the light blue one. In one of the games we played he was on the other team and all I saw was gun, so i gave him 3 to the gun, right around the grip and trigger (not to mention 2 to the halo ) and i thought it killed it! Riotz had to completly take apart the gripframe and clean out everything. Paint was everywhere, and this seems like it could happen often. After a good cleaning it was fixed, but I'm *wondering* if AGD is doing anything to fix this?

I then turned around and shot him twice in the HALO right after Riotz got it working. Poor guy. His "Superman" move to shoot me out of the snake was the stuff of legends. Too bad he missed me from 3 ft. away. Classic.

Yeah I pointed that out to him. He said he doesn't like the warp. Too bad. That was alot of paint we hit him with. I think it was that cow jersey that drew fire.

First of all.... DARN YOU FRESHMAN BOB!!!!!

secondly, In my defense, the REASON I missed the superman bunker was because my mask had come loose, and all I could see was the foam insert, and basically, I care more about my eyes than my ego.

And now on to business... guys, it was lots of fun playing with you at cousins. and yes, even though the halo sticks out, Im NOT going back to warp. And the cow jersey does paint me as a target, since Im the only one wearing it, and everyone knows who I am, and therefore wants to take shots at me.

This one is For AGD.... Is there something in the works, in the way of a grip frame, to protect the electronics on the xmags from a direct shot in the grip frame?? cause having your marker go down for a good hour or so, and then needing to clean it out for the same amount of time, just to get it back to somewhat functional state is just not fun. Please address this issue if you havent already.

also, FRESHMAN BOB! Get it right! My C&C X-Mag is #12! NOT #17.

It was very cool to meet(and shoot) you. Forgot to mention the mask thing. Still a very cool move. Maybe we will see you around rexplex or sussex one of these days. Looking forward to it.

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago at a scenerio game. I just switched it over to manuel and played the rest of the day until we were finished then cleaned it all out. Yep that bites that our new high dollar xmags are so vulnerable to the elements and paint. Personally im going to get some new grips made by [email protected] that'll cover up the crevices. But you have to admit the ability to switch to manuel will save your *** if the electronics goes bye bye. P.S. the cow jerseys cool...my team wears clown suits when we play...drives people nuts..specially when they get kick their butts whupped by a bunch of clowns..Totally Hilarious.. Is there not a seal under the grip to prevent intrusion by water or paint?

I would imagine a REAL thin layer of silicone caulk would do the trick. It would come off fairly easily if you needed to service any of the internals.

My problem is the trigger rod area. It's still open and vulnerable. Not to mention a pain to clean.

So if you get hit in the grips or the trigger rod area, the X-Mag just ceases to work in E-Mode?

I know my hands are usually covering my grips any ways.

yes, i always silicone my grips, especially for rain games. I actually keep a tube of the quick stuff in my tool box. it isnt a bad idea, and if you get paint, yo u can just pry em up and wash em off
