    Tom Kaye Cocker?

So, what would happen if Tom
made a Cocker Body in stainless
    with minimum size and weight?

The mag bodies are light themselves,
the valve is the brick :-)

How great would it be for AGD to
branch out and plant the flag in
    other areas?

    The cocker is experiencing major
popularity, but I think that is
    starting to wane.

More of the great electros are
coming out and can be setup
    to not chop paint.

Tom said you can't really guess
what is going to happen, and
people are fickle so I agree,
but will AGD ever come away from
    their design?

Has AGD looked at other designs? I know that there
has been a lot of solid science
    and engineering put into the
    current technology. You have
a valve that can run extremely
fast, but many people fuss about
    the pressure range and such.

I doubt that AGD would branch out because u cant improve perfection...

Its not perfect until they make it where its not a chop machine straight from the factory. In fact thats the only thing stopping me from buyin a mini to my backup. Please dont tell me they dont chop. I have had experience with MANY mags, from E's, classics, upgraded, they chop like crazy! Now witha lvl 10...thats another story, but do you really think it costs so much more to make they cant make it stock? It would make the mag a real competetor to other manufactures...

I remember shooting them as a rental at Skirmish USA. I didn't have a single problem with choppage. I guess it was user error on your part.

The Xvalves are lvl 10 from the factory so get one of them and a mini body.

I thought the plan was to eventually have lvl10 come with all mags from the factory. That would solve that problem right there.

Lay out all the pneumatics, rods, threeway, valves, pins, regulator, and bolt and attending hardware to connect them all of a cocker and you got more weight than and X valve...

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

                the challenge

                Ok phil!

When your Xmag gets here, we can
put it and my merlin side by side
with the race frame that is going
on it so you have electro for
electro and then we can do some
                benchmark tests on weight, ROF,
                Accuracy, etc.

                You game?

mags aren't perfect. very close, but not yet. in time i believe my mind will change(or philip can send me that emag i want )
not everyone wants level 10 though. so i dont know about the coming standard issue.

Well, your one of the lucky ones, I feel the rolleyes were not necessary Anywho, Our field has two and they are chop machines, and that last tourney in memphis we played, 1 guy threw his mag because it kept chopping, while one of his mates said get a lvl 10! It works!

I don't think Tom would make a cocker because he is good friends with Bud Orr. A signature "collaboration" might be interesting :)

well for one the x-mag suposedly is "lighter than a fly angel" but is that equal? you may have a race frame on your cocker, but it's still not the same as having an electro gun.

                            Hmm

TheJester: well for one the x-mag suposedly is "lighter than a fly angel" but is that equal? you may have a race frame on your cocker, but it's still not the same as having an electro gun.

Ok, the I'll bring my bushmaster too, both of them?

The emag design is still a sear tripper by nature. That is how
Tom got the dual nature of operation. Great innovation
                            and another AGD first.

Look at the solenoid and battery he used to give it the shot count
he wanted. I admire his philosophy.

Pick a set of functionalities, then design the marker to
                            achive them.

That is how a marker should be designed. That is how I pick
what goes into/onto my tourney guns. I want to be able to
fire 1100/1200 balls in a game. That means I design a
certain amount of efficiency and air capacity into each marker
I build. I have a 90 cubic inch tank on my RT. That
should get that number of shots out with a 3000psi fill.

My cocker and bushy both run 68's and are very comfortable
firing all that from one fill at 3000psi.

Now. The race cocker is as much an electro as a hyper
frame on a mag or an emag. If you have points to counter this,
let's see how the emag/xmag is more of an electro than the
                            race cocker / eblade cocker.

                            -rob

BTW - Yeah phil, I started something again, aint it fun :-)
