    Problem with my J&J Edge

I used my new edge this weekend for the first time. I was using Draxxus paint so I went with the smallest back, .985 or .986, I don't have it here with me. Anyway I load up, walk to the crono and psst. I have a Level 10, so I figured I just need to turn up the velocity. So a crank it up and psst. On more crank, and it shoots, but the bolt gets stuck closed! I had the take the gun apart and use a metal rod the bang the bolt out of the barrel! I switched to the next back and had no problems for the rest of the day. Once I get home I check out the barrel back with both my Level 10 and Level 7 bolts. The 10 does not go in, but the 7 does. Has anyone else had this problem?

there have been problems with level 10 and small bore barrels. I think like .686 or so

          I found a helpful thread

This is the forum for trouble shooting your Airgun Designs products, including the Automag, RT, E-Mag, and WarpFeed. Also a great place to ask technical questions about non AGD products. An Airsmith's homeroom!

the bolt is .686.... so it wont work well in barrels like that or smaller

Thanks all. I guess I will only be using the three other backs. Another reason to discountiue the twist lock!

You'll be fine then. I do suggest you get the LX. I haven't broken a ball since I've had it.

actually it has nothing to do with the twist lock. the bolt is a diameter of 686 so if you have a barrel that size or smaller you can use it.

Does the bolt slide into the barrels of the new mags with the cocker threads(ULE, X-Mag, Sluggo)? If not, then they can use any size barrel.

On the new mags, the bolt only goes as far as the breech. It doesn't get to the barrel.

                          Nice emag ironman

I have the edge, and I always run 689 (or is it 688). I've never had a reason to run anything else. The edge was honestly a total waste for me, but I bought it just because I could I still have my original stainless J&J 2 piece as well with the same size bore.

I also fire draxxus with no probs.
