When that much skin trauma causes some sort of blood clot or other problem that kills him kiss paintball goodbye. I hate to say this - but I don't think anyone has hard data on what long term impact paintball injuries have on health. I've heard rumers here and there that it could be a problem - and crap like that can only make it worse.

Just as a sample I heard that damage like paintball welts can lead to breast cancer in women. I'm not sure how credible the source was, but it suggest that ALL women ALL of the time should be wearing chest protectors. Could be BS, but who knows. If it isn't - well guys (much less frequently) can still get breast cancer also...

I don't see any wrong in it. Did you see weltman at shatnerball? Everyone thought that guy was crazy... we never said he was giving the sport a bad image did we? So how is this? They were using a paintball gun and shooting paintballs, same with weltman.

I think its funny, I wouldn't mind doing that, 150 welts is something to be proud of in my opinion... I wanna be weltman jr.

They were having a good time messing around, they took a risk, we take risks every day, what's the big deal about it.

Everything that involves paintball and a bad image has to affect you and ruin your life directly right? So every time someone is killed with a baseball bat everyone playing baseball is like "damn that gave our sport such a bad image I hope it isn't banned!" Our sport is a sport that has equipment for this sport. This equipment if used improperly can be dangerous, anything can be dangerous.

Another thing is no one who does not play paintball is gonna see this, this video is on the paintball forums not on CNN.
