if you really wanted to make the files smaller u could make them into realplayer format and the zip them. That should make them pretty small.

I think the best solution is to put them on cheap CD-Rs and sell them for a couple bucks.

Damn that was a fast download! I have cab;e, but was very impressed by the server speed! Here are my dumb questions! If I have an RT Pro valve, is it pretty much the same disassembly etc as the RT, besides the banjo bolt? If so, are all the orings the same? My valve leaks when I first gas it up from the back, but stops and never leaks again. I figured it was just quirky, but should I be concerned? Thanks for the great video!

If you put them in your shared folder and you use some sort of p2p network then you can share them, and people could search for them, then download them. I use kazaa and have found a few paintball vids. not much yet though.

Please, PLEASE don't do this. Realplayer makes crappy quality video images, and is one of the biggest pieces of spyware out there. I, and many others, won't install their POS software. Stick to open standards, not proprietary crap like Real.

I agree. And due to popular request I'm working on getting a larger more clearer (both picture and sound) video out there for those with broadband to download.

I've got Kazaa lite installed and can host em on my machine. It's only 1024x256 dsl so it wouldn't be that fast of a download, but I can setup something. Also I could let people FTP them from me if I really wanted. I'll work on some stuff. I was busy doing honeydo projects all weekend so didn't get a chance to work on em.

i think u should try to do it like pig tv is just so u can tell if u want to download it or not. I have 80 megs worth of videos and it took me like 5 hours each movie and i have a 56k. i only get like 2-3 kbps(or what ever) and my school has T1 but its divided by like 100 computers and they get 60-100 bps. DSL cost like $50 a month were i live.

the bigest problem is the conversion from VHS to digital. I think the video should be redone in a digital format using all digital equipment, then converted .mpeg .avi and other popular formats. I would like to help out if I can, I have all the equipment needed, Cannon XL-1 DV camera, sony DV recorder, DV500 and a server/workstation.

luckily for me I only lost the classic video. But now that I've got a bigger drive I can record em all at once and not worry about having them all over my pcs.

I've got the emag complete video in 320x200 format which is a decent quality too. Keep in mind I'm recording these off of my VCR into my PC via a capture card. But the quality on the tapes aren't that good to begin with.

I'm thinking of putting them up on a P2P filesharing network like Kazaa or something. I can't host them from my connection at home as Ameritech wouldn't like that too much, but I've got some people I need to contact about space who pmmed me before.


As I've said before real life takes precedence over this so it's kinda been pushed onto the back burner while my daughters communion comes and goes, etc.

Most definately, especially with my 1024k connection it would whizz down, even if i had a 56 k connection i'd still do it
