Headbands

I've noticed an increasing trend for tourney ballers to wear extra long headbands with long tails. Can someone explain to me why this is considered "hip" by some.

I sweat alot when I play. I also where glasses. So when sweat seeps into the mask, glasses may fog, even with thermal lenses and a fan running.

The headband keeps the sweat out.

I wear one but not for looks. The Shocktech headbands have a little swatch of towel material to keep sweat from running into my eyes.

well a few things
in the summer there cooler(temp wise) then a hat or beanie
yes it is another spot for sponsors

dont really think ur going to get to many bounces off of ur peanut with a headband on

Yeah, they're really helpful at keeping the sweat outta my eyes. That's why I wear one in the summer. Hey, it would be cool if we could get someone to make some AO or AGD headbands. I'd pick one up for sure. Too bad I have no sewing skills what so ever.

Well, I see the utility for keeping sweat out of your eyes, but does anyone else out there think they just don't look good?

Well ofcourse Ninja. If you were a real Ninja you wouldn't even have to ask that, and you would run around chopping peoples heads off at random, you could play the guitar awesome, and ofcourse pop mega huge Ninja boners.

I wear headbands when I play, because I got sick of my mask almost flying off everytime the bill of my hat hit the ground when I was sliding. So I went to headbands, and they are great.

I wear a bunkerking one, and a small black KAPP one under that. I think they look pretty pimp too.

Dare I say the essence of Ninja.

...They want to look like Rambo. I'd prefer a Beanie over a headband really. I've never worn a headband though (and I'm not a heavy sweater).

I wear one for two reasons (although mine, a PB Junkies one, doesn't have excessively long tails).

1) Sweat. I sweat a lot, and it does help keep it out of my eyes.

2) Forehead irratation. I find that wearing your mask all day, the foam slides around on your skin and can really irratate your skin. My forehead used to itch like mad after a day of playing. The foam now rests on my headband, which doens't really irratate my skin much. So its a pretty large increase in comfort.

I chose sweat, but tha's not the total reason. One of the choices isn't why I do it. I like to create an illusion of speed! See, if you've got stuff danglin, when yo run it looks like you're REALLY flying! See pic below to understand what I mean.

They're also nic when a ball wings past you, and catches the tail. Yo know SOMEONE'S getting too close for comfort.

Bunker King headbands are basically bounce factories on your forehead. I've had head shots bounce from them SEVERAL times! Don't kid yourself, they do that. Other brands aren't as bad, but what do most guys wear? Yah, thoguht so.
