Question about testing accuracy of a barrel

I understand its not just the barrel doing the accuracy-ing :P :P

But if I were to test the "accuracy" of a barrel, what sorts of tests should I perform? Maybe clamp down the gun so its unable to move and shoot at a target of some sort....but at what distances should i shoot from? 25 feet? 50 feet?

What other tests could i put a barrel through?

Look around for a test Jack N Coke (I'm 99% sure it was him) did, comparing 3 guns (tippmann, mag, timmy if i recall correctly). I believe he had the same barrel on each, and he was testing gun accuracy, but if you take all of his procedure into a barrel test it would work out fine. Note, he also took pictures and shot over a chrony to see how consistancy and accuracy played upon each other.
It was a well done test, take a page out of his book.

Thanks, yea i was going to steal my mom's digi camera for documentation, and do it down at the local field so i can use the chrony.

      i'll look for it
