    Anyone near Rochester NY?

Anyone live near Rochester and have land? My friends and I from the RIT pb club are looking for a place to play, practice, introduce new people to the sport and have fun? We could setup a field get paint for cheap since we could buy in bulk etc. LMK if anyone is interested.

I live about hour and a half away Rochester. I usually play at GRC www.grcpaintball.net

:-( hrmm...that may be to far, though I know the elmira guys play there. We are looking forsome place close so we could use our own paint and air. So we don't have to get exstorted.

Well we are looking for something to use during the spring, fall and maybe during the summer. We have access to a the RIT's vans as well as scuba tanks, if needed we can get more scuba tanks. We can get many members as well as get labor to setup a field and clear small brush etc. We could just throw the tanks in the van and paint isn't hard to get, we had many people sign up and if we get many more we might try to get everyone to throw in for an airball field. We can't really offer you anything other than air, the deals we get with paint and of course play. As well as we would sign disclaimers (I hate lawers and suiers). btw how many acers do you have and how woody is it?
          Thanx bud!

                there's alot of land :)

but i dont think we are totally connecting...are you just looking for land to setup a place, or are you looking for a business partner to split the fees w/...along w/ a nice chunk of land?

Well we are college students wanting to play some paintball. We are a college club called Fast Action Paintball. I am mostlikely the most active member in the group, but I don't think I would have time to help run a field. We just want to have a place to play practice and introduce new players to a friendly enviroment, instead of just bringing a bunch of newbs to get shot during an Open play. We do not have much time/money to do a full time thing, but we if you want we can possibly look at making a field for comercial use. We have many numbers and we will grow more so when we have an area to play with out heavy field prices. Like what do you have in mind? In all I am open to both ideas, since we needing a place to play. BTW is it heavily wooded area or is their any open areas? Well we should get in contact to get more of an idea of what we are thinking.

Hey I'm from just south of Buffalo, I was thinking about organizing an AO day at GRC sometime in the spring. But I would have to get a head count first.

Anytime you guys wanna play done there drop me message and I'll see if I can make it.

                    thanks

Ia960, sorry but we are looking for a really inexpensive way to practice and have great flexability when we can practice. The idea is to provide fun enviroment to introduce newbs so they won't get discouraged by playing stacked teams etc, like on most fields. This is not to target the "little rich kids" but for college students who don't have 60+ to drop for a case when we can get them for 30ish. We want to encourage intercollegic team play for paintball.

badabing, no problem, if we get a field or something going, maybe we can host AO there.

I go to a college, we have a congested population of 16,000 students 3 out of 4 is a male. Most have interests playing paintball. We also have a large think tank of engineers, computer related majors and the list goes on to offer help in boosting a possible paintball related item that could make people money. If a paintball place wanted to do really well, they would try to arrange a deal with them. ProPB is a good example I worked out a deal with them, if i brought ~8 peeps then we would get 5 bucks off field. Though they made us pay 10 bucks last time we went out, so I will not even put ANY effort into getting people to play. So therefore they go from 8x5=40 to 2x10=20. Well maybe this is why we see paintball places come and go, because the owners aren't too bright.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you at all, I just get annoyed that most of the fields charge A LOT of money. I want this to become a collegic sport, but if the expenses are to great for many college students. A way very successful business makes money is by charging low prices and selling high quanitity. If a place gave us a discount or asked us to do things in exchange for paintball products, then I think a great relationship could develop between that place and our college. I have done countless static websites as well as creating dynamic sites in perl utalizing a MySQL database. I even grade for a class that teachs programing for the world wide web. My point is, we don't have money, though we can advertise and get a places name out as well as creating sites and even technology. We have access to CNC machines, etc. I didn't mean to offend you at all, but most fields won't give us the time of day, even though we could help benifit their place dramticly.

Me and you should hit up GRC and see what kind of rates we can get from them... seeing how we're both very active when it comes to paintball, perhaps increased business would make them drop the price tag a bit!
