    Thanks, Bulldog. Yeah, I was going to have him wear his helmet over it all. He manages to keep his hat on under that as well. I swear, I can't even remember what color his hair is...the hat never leaves his head. Good news is its a kid-size hat, not adult-size. So it'll end up being too small for his head at some point. =)

      The Dye Invision and the Raven Nuvis masks fit people with smaller faces well.

        good luck with gitting him into the sport man.
        My proteus was actually too big, well, it was too hard and didn't conform to my head unlike my Skul..

                When you play, if you have a lvl x, take it off and set ur velocity to around 200-220. Won't hurt as much. As for gear, you could look into the plastic vests and for a mask just get one that covers most of his neck and fits well. Thow on a beanie and a hot over it, or visa verse and he should be just fine.

                  I have seen Ronn Stern's kid running around wearing an old scott mask; he is under 10 I think; seems like he really enjoys hanging out with his pops playing "war", but I have never seen him on the field.

                  anyways, I very much dislike it when the very young get lit-up or bunkered; and it seems like its the field's resident teams that do it; mostly b/c they treat rec-ball like tourney play;

                  oh well there's my rant

                  EDIT: bunkering young kids is totally un-needed; if you have the patience to wait 15-30 seconds most will give you a shot at a hopper, look over the bunker or stick their shoes out.

                    Well when we have small kids in teh shop I get them into JT Spectra Pro Shields and depending on the kid some in the vForce Shields.

                    The key is both of these is where teh strap starts to come in contact with the kids head, its a little more forward so it will tighten up well as needed.

                    nVader/nForcer both hold the strap out from teh head until its only starting at the back of the kids head. I find this tends to lead to goggle loose shakes.

                    Take him to a pro shop and try a few on an see what fits him.

                      Another thing to do when playing younger/new players is to play your opposite hand. If you're a righty, play with your Left. This in the long run will help you play both hands well. Improve your game while helping others

                            a good mask for him... probally just one that fits.. and it is a bit hard finding masks that fit younger kids.. but go for a proteus.. that seems to be the smaller looking masks.
