Time for a new AM/MM body rail?

Back Bottle holes and the side sight rails. Have these outlived their usefullness?? I mean, does anyone actually use them anymore??

I was looking at my mag today and thinking how much "cleaner" it would look without the sight rails. Also, if the back block holes were not there you could cut the rear at an angle (like an emag) without being left with the holes in it. I would definately plunk down the cash for a nickel plated redesigned rail. I don't care for the eclipse one much, I'd rather have a slimmer one (ULE).

This would save some weight, and I can't imagine how it could take longer to mill than the current body rails. The classic mags could use an updated look and this along with a ULE body would help.

What do you think am I nuts??

you could always take and sand the sight rails off. and have it annoed or polished

I for one wish the site rails were built into the bodies, but even if they did that I wouldn't buy the body tohugh because all the new aluminum bodies aren't twistlock.

I just dislike my current rail. But I am not gonna spend 50 bucks to buy a new one that doesnt nothing performance wise.

I definatly think that AGD should make a rail for their new bodies.

Having a pimp alum body without a nice rail is like having a Ferrari w/o a chassis. Doesn't make sense now does it???

I know alot of us want AGD to make things and we say we will buy the new product but in the end don't. This would be one of those things for me. I want to see em made, but wouldn't get one for awhile..

I could swear I read somewhere that they still needed the rails..

If they come with them built in, then you kill two birds with 1 stone. No more omega rail for me..

The aluminum slug bodies still require a rail.

The only bodies that don't are the Xmag bodies.

And yes, a rail purchased new from AGD does not have back bottle holes nowadays.

Also, I doubt AGD is going to produce a new rail immediatly... there's a matter of getting rid of all the old rails I'm sure they have first

Body rail

I do not believe I have ever seen a body rail with sights down the side. Want to post a pic?

all mm/am rails have dovetail sight rails along the sides.

and that why i milled mine. :-)
