Ahh I wish I could've gone. I was thinking about playing for team AO but I had no transportation there. Load might've been able to give me a ride ... ah well. All the stories from XPB and you guys are making me wish I would've gone.

The MGO was weird. The rain on Friday threw everybody off, but Steve and the organizers did a good job trying to get things back on track. But, the rain gave us all a good chance to check out the trade show. Those new Hybrids are pretty sweet, nice and light.

As to how we played, I think we fell victim to "pick-up" team syndrome. Solid play, no where close to enough coordination, and lack of communication. We got rolling on Saturday, anchored by LoadSM5 and Covadsucks in the back line. Even though Load is now "the Man," he's solid on field, and calmly bunkered (at least) two guys in one game to give us one of our wins. Covadsucks was our best "eyes and ears," and you could hear him calling out positions from two fields over. Rocco and Jonesie are true bunkermonkeys, always willing to stick it out for a flag grab or bunker run. As for El Pimpo Purpureo, JeffreMiller, that boy can shoot the PurplePeopleEater like an AC130 gunship.

On Sunday, we just could not get it together in the morning. Load had to scoot, and the rest of us were scrambling. Since the semi-final spots were tight, statistically we couldn't cut it after our early morning losses (very heavy hangovers didn't help any of us, either). So, we enjoyed the rest of our games, with dual front-man runs to the 60, etc.

In all, good times. I'd do it again in a heart-beat.

P.S.: Hey Load, isn't that pic of El Capitan and the Magnificent Mel a cuss-filter violation? Heh.

yeah sunday got ugly, im thinkin there should have been more cranberry juice in my drink the night before, but i think it was mostly the communication barrier. IT was our first tourny as a team with no pratice togeather before hand....but we had a great time played well and i recieved beads for showin my wang force :P jon would be proud.
