Omega Rail & New Mag Body ?'s

From what I've seen on web pages, the Omega rail does not come with the AGD twist lock barrel assembly.

I need to know 3 things..

#1. Is it possible to remove the assembly from my stock minimag rail? I tried hitting it a lil and it wouldn't budge.

#2. How would I install a new Assbly on the omega rail?

#3. The new AGD bodies sporting cocker threads would NOT need the twist lock barrel asspembly, correct? But it helps keep the grip in place so would you just take out the spring and the pin or leave it in there un-tampered with?

Mmm ya... Or should I just wait till the AGD stuff comes out..

you need a nail and a hammer to get that baby out. you probably will need to bore out the twist lock hole, and sear pin areas.

Why would you need to bore out the sear and pin areas... Shouldn't those work just fine.. SO much for a drop in mod

I would use a flat faced punch and dead blow hammer. Using a nail may screw up the alen key head in the bottom of that Twist Lock assembly.

But I prefer to just use a new one in the new rail.

The rail is ready to go other than installing a Twist Lock. You do not need to do anything else. Tunaman had those Rails and I have a good idea he can fix you wp with the twist Lock assembly at the same time.

If your getting one of the new bodies you would leave it out. But you may need to move over your Rail Bushing into the Omega rail.
