What should I do???

I have a classic valve Mag with an intelliframe, fixed air tank and edge barrel kit. I have only played hopper ball and games limited to 50, 20 and 10 balls. I have had chops from misfeeds when shooting fast, and when using Limited paint. I will try to play every weekend this summer at a local field.

I have a few dilemmas.

1. Get An x-valve with level 10 or level 10 with by it's self.

In order to avoid chopping, I would like to get level 10. I do not know if I need the x valve. (With my classic valve I can shoot 7-8 bps if needed). When playing with limited paint, the velocity most be consistent because every shot counts. Do to the fact that the x-valve becomes more consistent and the velocity increases at higher rates of fire, I fear that shot consistency will be hampered When I play in limited paint games at a lower rof. The added speed however would be a wonderful.

2. Which motorized hopper should I get?

In order to decrease miss feeds I would like a motorized hopper. If I do get an x-valve would I need something as fast as an Eggo or a halo? Or should I stick with a 12v revi or reloader? Is the sound activation adequate on the reloader or should I get a revi and intellifeed it?

Please give me your opinion on what I should do. Let me know if you would like me to clarify my situation.

sounds like you already got a 12v revvy. Intelli it first. that will help. No reason to get empire with intelli. Upgrade to xboard, if you don't have it. Next should be Level 10 bolt. That will make it so you don't chop at all. It works with classic valve. On real old you, you may have to replace some part. Of course, you can upgrade to xvalve with level 10 for 225 trade up. (faster recharge and rof)

Halo is a great, but cost a lot for what you get. Unless you want to shoot over 10 bps all the time, you probably don't need it. LX bolt is great...

I would think that if you are playing in a paint limited game then you're not going to be ripping on the trigger enough to get significant shoot-up.

If cash is not an issue than the xvalve will make it feel like a new gun. Besides, if you go lvl10 now, you're still gonna want a retro valve later!

Well if you mostly play hopper-ball then I would stay away from the x-valve. I do not have one, but I know it can make you shoot alot faster , so with a limited paint supply, I'd steer clear. But no matter how many shots you have, 10-200, you can still chop, so I'd get a LvL 10 for sure.

On the second topic, I'd suggest a 12v Revvie only for 200 or 100 round games. If you that a 12v out with 10 balls, it will do more harm then good. I think alot of people will back me up on that. The agitator will actually knock the last few balls out of the feed tube making it tough to load.. Not sure how other hoppers work, but I do believe a HALO is a force feeding hopper which would work, but then again it is 100 bucks or so..

How much does the velocity vary between 1bps and 10-12 bps on the x-valve?

To clear things up, I do not have any type of motorized loader. On limited games, using fewer than 50 balls I will be using a 45 round hopper.

I am assuming that the reloader or an intellifed x-board revi will be adequate for games with more paint. Which of these is better? They are about the same price at many locations. If the sound activation on the reloader works as well as an intellifeed, I will get that because there are no wires hanging around.

Dude just get a revvy, if you don't chop then there's no need to buy anything else. Personally I'd try and get to a real field every once in a while :)

Get a 12v rev, reloaded, or richo. I'd be partial to a reloader or a used revvy for like 30 bucks. All should be just fine with your classic mag.

Thanks Mossman for talking some since into me. I really do not need to shoot any faster than I already do. I think that I will go for a reloader because it seems to be the best value for what I need. I will wait on the X-valve and level 10 until I find that they are absolutely necessary.

sounds like mossman is giving good advice. powerfeeder of anytype. even 9volt old one can keep up at 3-5bps. and older 12v can do 7 or so. You can pick used revvy for cheap. Probably don't need to intelli or xboard on it for most of your game but having the option is a good one. Heck, I have an std 12volt clear body revvy that I am selling used for 40 bucks shipped, and another clear one with non perfect body for 35 shipped.(it was heated and molded for warp)
