AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
So 7 of the 15 Wining Players at Skyball were Shooting AGD Guns!!
have a close up of a revolver cylinder open, with a rtp, an emag, and an xmag in 3 of the 6 chambers, and the rest of the chambers empty. (7/15 is about 3/6)
then say something like "agd has the deck stacked in their favor. enjoy the dead box without them."
then stick the 7/15 winning players at skyball were shooting agd markers at the bottom in slightly smaller print.
As society and the problems that face it become more and more complex and machines become more and more intelligent, people will let machines make more of their decisions for them, simply because machine-made decisions will bring better results than man-made ones. Eventually a stage may be reached at which the decisions necessary to keep the system running will be so complex that human beings will be incapable of making them intelligently. At that stage the machines will be in effective control. People won't be able to just turn the machines off, because they will be so dependent on them that turning them off would amount to suicide
sometimes I just freaking hate people. which means the next day I will love them for the sake of balance, but right now I will just concentrate on the hating. Hate hate hate. Blaaaarg! ;)
turborev - with ai like this, if it controlled any more than a paddle, it would kill you and everyone you care about. ;)
This could dovetail really well with the "What kind of person shoots an Automag" thread from a while back. Make customers feel a part of something special, maybe even kick in a reference to AO. Sort of a "those who play to win, play with airgun designs" message, with the 7/15 blurb. Maybe you could find out if any of the others were using warps/flatlines?
You could just send a press release with pics of the team and close-ups of the guns, congratulating the team, giving a small amount of team background, a quote from yourself and the team captain, and then a brief description of why the XMag is back for good. Send this out to all magazines and all websites and I guarantee you'll get a ton of coverage - I know because I edit two magazines and a website.
Send me the press release and it will appear in PGI and on P8ntballer.com
