    Vert vs Power Feed

Does the Mag's blowback keep a verticle feed on an agitated loader down below 10 bps?

Have you noticed if your power feed makes you hopper stick out a lot?

    What do you perfer?

    well

Power feed does make your marker wider.

Using a halo on a low rise vert feed mag is great.

A revvy may have blow back problems with a vert feed mag.

I have always run revy's on powerfeed bodies.

Powerfeed is nice but vert feed is faster so I prefer it.

Thats the only thing i did not like about my mag was the pf body. I stuck out so much and made your gun really tall. But buying a vert body ment that i would have to buy all new barrels and it just was not worth it

Props to echo419 for the sig

Blowback has pretty much been eliminated as an issue on Level 10 Mags and mag's with the long nose bolt (Every new mag for the last 2 years will have either Level 10 or a long-nose bolt).

mykroft: Blowback is an issue. With the barrels being different sizes and the chamber of the barrel being different on every one, it will always be an issue.

One thing that will change this is the advent of the sluggo bodies. That means the chamber is the same for every barrel and that the fit between the chamber and bolt can be tighter and better qc'ed.

I have a project gun now that is a galactic Z body. There is so much blowback it is insane. The highest velocity I get is like 270 fps.

that has been disproved over and over and over. niether one feeds faster than the other. it is all about preferance on the position of the hopper, and the look you want.

Personaly, I'd take a vertical feed unless I was using a Warp in which case I's take a powerfeed or Warp body.

                    It has? Where?

                    Was there a thorough study?

How about the formula for rolling motion vs. falling?

                    Thanks,

As far as vert feed being faster than power feed i remember reading a in depth disccussion here a while ago. The test results were something like vertfeed was .11 balls faster than power feed. Something like that i remember it was very unsignificant.

It's all prefernece. Whatever feels good to you. I've tried all three styles (Vert, PF, and Warp) and personally I like Vert Feed. I like that it is balanced with Vert Feed.
