What Pants/Shorts for a gimp?

Ok, here's the deal. I've decided I need to finally get some real paintball pants instead of wearing cut off bdu's or whatever I happen to have laying around.

The problem is this. I have horrible knees and have to wear a great big robocop looking brace on my right knee. It's constantly needing to be adjusted and it's fairly big, so it probably won't fit under normal pants.

For this reason I normally wear shorts and a pair of renegade knee/shin pads.

However now I'm looking for a better solution. I like having the knee pads and am also not sure how they would fit over pants.

So does anyone make a paintball type shorts? Or what kind of pants would you recommend?

Not sure when or if they are still being released, but dye is making some playing shorts similar to there hybrid pants. Might wanna look into it. Also, I think JT's zip off.

Dye actually makes shorts made to play paintball...they're on dyes website.

Try an oversized pair of BDU pants. Loose, tough and cheap.

I looked at a pair of dye hybrid shorts today. They were nice... but as all dye stuff. $$$$$$$$$$ pricey
