Is the rate of fire capped on a E-mag?

I have been considering trading in my classic Mag and getting a E-mag but I seem to remeber reading that the board is capped at 14 bps. Is this true and if so why?

Emags are capped at 16 BPS in semi auto, 9 BPS in burst modes.

X-Mags are capped at 20 or 24 BPS (depending on the software version) with the ACE on, 16 BPS with the ACE off.

If it says that, then PB Review is wrong.

current emags shipping from the factory have an Xvalve in them and a ULE trigger frame. ULE rails are available for $80.00
