    minimag or phantom?

I was thinking of either getting a minimag or a phantom. I like the accuracy of the phantom and how i would save money on paint and the skills I would learn. But not many people play stock in my area so the minimag would make it more even. If you can give your suggestion I would appreciate it.

If you don't have a marker, get the minimag. It's a great all-around semi auto. I've never really been a fan of stock class, it's too recball trashy for my tastes. /me gets image of a "paintball sniper"

Minimag will be just as accurate as the Phantom.

It depends,. do you want to fire alot of paint? or pick your shots? do you mind getting shot out alot your first few games?

Me, i have a sfl e-mag and a phantom, and i love em both, you really gotta decide which you want based on your playing style

get the minimag, then pick up the pump parts from AGD, then you can have a semi-auto and a pump in one, just switch some parts back and forth

i have a pump kit on my mag for fun now, it kicks arse when it's working, but i still gotta tune it a little bit to make it work better

edit: btw, phantoms are no more accurate than any other gun, it all depends on the barrel and air system/regulator

correct bob, along with the correct barrel, a good paint-to-bore match is a must!

                  EXCUSE ME?!

I guess you've never seen the pan-am stock class events, or me, in my various jersies playing stock/pump on an airball field against Twibs that said the same thing in the staging area, and promptly got taken to school.

believe it or not, I sold my Minimag to go back to my stock class ways. I loved my minimag, but I just couldn't afford to feed it so much paint! I had a great setup, but it really was refreshing to go back to a VSC. They are sooo light and accurate, they really are great. Yes, mags can be just as accurate, but not with their stock barrel! thats the big advantage with the phantom, once you buy one, there's not really much to improve on! maybe a stock, or a sight, but thats about it if you get one of the higher end versions. I really love my VSC, but I loved my minimag, so my recommendation would be to look at how much cash you have to spend on paintball, and if pump play will be your thing. Pump cannot be beaten cost wise, I only need like 150-180 paintballs for the DAY with my stock class VSC! I was using over 800 with my minimag! But pump play is not for everyone, you WILL get lit up (however I was lit up with my mag too), and you have to play smart, but it's a great challenge and you'll improve your play greatly, and you'll get alot of admiration from semi players for the most part, and if they make fun, you'll know what to do
