ELCD or not?

Im trying to decide whether or not to get an elcd grip frame for my mag. I have the intelliframe but I have shot an elcd and I know that they can shoot really fast. But I am hearing all these things about how they break or never work. Please let me know if it would be a waste of money. and if its not they I might be interested in trading an intelliframe for an elcd. I'll throw in cash. Thanks

I wouldn't do it, the only way I'd use an electronic mag is if it were an emag designed to be used electronically. In most or all cases the ELCD is just a electronic mechanism that activates whatever is used to cause the gun to fire over and over in different patterns. I wouldn't trust it, but then again I have never used ELCD on a mag, only on blowback.

Its really just a question of if you know whether or not it works. If it does then I know it will be awsome because I have shot one while it was working. If it doesnt then my gun is useless. So if you own one and know from experience please reply.

My Hyperframe works fine. The biggest complaints I have is the short solenoid pulse time it has. Centerflag (manufactures of the Hyperframe) have a new board for it allows the solenoid pulse time (commonly referred to as solenoid dwell) to be configured by the user (1ms to 99ms). I sent my old board in for an upgrade. The new one is supposed to ship around Wednesday.

correct me if im wrong but isnt the max bps on a hyperframe 13?

Yes, the original stock board is limited to 13 bps. That is very fast. Dumps paint way to fast. However, the new board is limited to 20 bps, has fullauto and the ability to set the solenoid dwell.

if you want to go electro mag, save up on an used emag. they sell for under 600 with lx. I bought mine for 550.

if you insist on elcd, hyperframe is the best, but it does need some tweaking to make it function right. It is cheap way to go though..

the elcd is a good trigger, imho, cheap easy to understand, the only few issues is the wireing (uses cheap gauge wire) and they are not around. However I have worked on countless E-LCD's and have personally owned 4 different ones. I upgrade and repair them as well as answer many questions.
