    X-Mag BPS limit?

My new X-Mag has version 2.1 software and seems to be limited to 16 bps. I have seen others on this site whose X-Mags are 20 bps (RamboPreacher).

    Which should it be?

ACE= anti-chop eye, it's a sensor in the breech of the gun that detects whether or not a paintball is fully into the breech. It's an anti-chop mechanism found on most electronic guns (known as vision on the imp, COPS on the IR3, PDS on bushies...). The x-mag has a level 10, as well.

Could you technically just use a regular bolt and take out the level 10 (for effieciency) and still have no or veyr very few chops? Is the ace good enough for that?

Mine just left the factory last week; I would be surprised to find that it did not have the latest version of software.

                  So, threre is a 2.21?

Ben keep hitting the top button on the back of the grip frame until you see "ACE" in the display window. Click the bottom button if the display says "OO" until it says "01". Then click the top button until you see "BPS" then click the bottom button until you get to "24". Note there is no 02 setting as stated in the instructions in the CD. Hope this helps

OK, what happened to ACE Mode 2...it sounds like it would be the best:
                      From the X-Mag CD-ROM
Mode 2 is the mode you should be using with your X-mag. This mode is automatic, and requires no user adjustment. You can use virtually any colour paint, even 2-colour paint, and you can even mix colours together in the loader...

Is this a Euro X? If so then you will have ACE modes 00=off, 01=factory service mode, and 02=on. In either 01 or 02 you should have at least a setting for 20 bps. I got mine back and the software now allows for 20bps in 00 or ACE off mode using 2.21.

Hope this helps. Again this only pertains to Euro software.
