Length ? ?
Depends on what you want...I use a 10" freak for speedball it seems to shoot darts for what i need. I have even used an old school 8" Taso on my RT...it was pretty darn accurate too. All I gotta say is paint to bore match = accuracy in my head.
Become very familiar with the interworkings of your mag...and look around the forum for help or tips.

If you cuold afford it I would recomend to spring for a full freak, or if thats way to much try and get the freak barrel and one insert, and build your inserts from there....but if your set on the AA, make sure you get the new style. Length, I like 10" but many prefer 12-14". Anything after 14" Wont make a difference, personally I dont think any lengths make a difference, so just get what you think *looks* the coolest

I personaly like the 14". This lets me use the barrel to "work" the bunkers. I can sit further back and still have my barrel sticking out or pressing into the side of a sup-air bunker. I could work with a 12" but absolutly nothing shorter than that.
Of course it's a different story if you like to play up front."Relax. Don't worry. Have a Home Brew."

Welcome to AO!
I would recommend an 8-10inch for up front players , and for back players it doesn't really matter unless you play on a sup-air field , then I would say a 14 inch to lean into the bunker and lower your profile ."Anyone can slap together a high-end electro , where as building a high-end mechanical is truely an art form" - nuclear zombie

hey
I ordered the 14 inch AA barrel. And I think it is to long. I wish I would have ordered the 10 or 12 inch barrel. But thats just me. It a great barrel that you can upgrade to the freak when you get the money.Germany's Most Wanted Balla is sponsored by:

Big drops and short barrels are over rated. I like my 14" Freak and no drop on my max-flo tank, and somehow I can still play tight. Imagine that!
I'd say shoot for the 12" or 14".The only difference between martyrdom and suicide is press coverage.

lol... I only wish I could get somebody who DIDN'T know anything about paintball to read that...Originally posted by Quiet
I've got a 10", 12" and 16"
I like the 12"
I play front mostly
But I have a 12" SS lapco, it's awesome (for me). Paint to barrel is the most important thing!!!!!
