Absolutley, you just need a 3 axis milling machine and the proper software that would enable you to project the engraving onto a surface.

I'm sure you could technically engrave stuff onto it, but I'd stay away from hardcore milling.

Also be sure not to mill your tank. According to Miscue, it's not the thing to do.

The best option that you should look into is Lazar ingraving

i know somebody who got his body rail milled and anoed which turned out very nicely
