Stars on mags????

I hear people always saying how many stars do you have ect. what the hell does that mean?

the stars on the valve basicaly how many free repairs you get

Each time you send in your mag for service they remove a star, once you run outta stars you have to pay for service.

Like my classic valve has 3 left. I bought my Micromag used so I guess he's sent it in once, they start with 4 I believe.

two things:
if you have a MINIMAG it has 4 stars printed on it...its worth two stars.

if you have a RT Pro, Emag, XMag, ReTro, X-Valve reg, you get two stars, although none are engraved

Actualy there is the "Classic" that had one Star, the Automag Valve that Had three Stars and the Minimag valve that has Four Stars. All the rest have "Assumed and recorded Star values that are not lazer etched.

I used to have a "Automag Three star valve" that was in my very first Mag. And full Eclipse Deluxe Kit Green Splashed one complete with Matching vertical ASA and Benchy AND a matching Expansion Chamber too!. Wish I still had that thing! What a complete set that was. Even a matching 12" AA Barrel. The words "Automag" were engraved in it not "Classic" or "Minimag". Not sure if they even make them anymore? Not seen one in a while anyway.

Mine is a micromag classic valve, has 3 stars. Laser engraved if that makes a difference.

Since its on the valve do you only get repairs on the valve...i am kind of new to mags so bare with me here...

A couple of my mags have what look like square boxes with x's through them. Does that mean that the star has been used.

no, anything thast wrong with the mag is fixable, its just that the valve is what they mark.
