I am not sure, since I have not used a Cocker, but it probably depends on the setup a lot(2x trigger, PF, etc) and the user. I am happy with my mag, and I still need to practice shooting fast...it will come in time.
Wonder if my signature appears...

Like I said before...Both should be fast as hell when you set them up correctly...up to the point of outshooting a revvy...

My feedback if you've dealt with me, leave some...
Fruitcat: it's what AO doesn't like.

if you haven't owned a very nice cocker for a while and have learned to shoot it, you will not be able to get it as fast as you can a mag. both trigger need to be "learned", but are equally as fast when upgraded correctly.
take in to consideration, we are talking about standard vales, not the retro valve.

If you want to use a "very nice" cocker you should compare it to an RT/Retro. I've never seen any other mechanical gun shoot as fast as an RT/Retro in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing. Sure someone with a nice cocker can get it on but the reactive trigger has the edge. When I think of high ROF it all about RT/Retros and electros."Relax. Don't worry. Have a Home Brew."

well, this is wierd you would post something trying to compare a differnt gun to a agd gun considering this is Automags.org...

I think both can be shot just as fast (with out trigger job)if you get used to it. I used to be able to shoot Automags pritty damn fast but I've adapted to a smooth pull of a Cocker over the past few months. At this tournament a few weeks ago, my Cocker broke and i had to use an Automag. Luckly it had a 2x trigger because it seems as i have forgot how to shoot an Automag, I could barely top off 5bps.
But most of the time, Cockers do have faster triggers with all the different parts and mod available.

One thing not mentioned here yet is the new Hinge trigger from Worr Games. I have a STOCK 2001 (non STO or Black Magic) cocker with the hinge trigger and it is EXTREMELY fast. I would say that the Hinge trigger IS the fastest mechanical trigger out there (and very difficult to short stroke). Granted it isn't as fast as an electro.
Just my 2 cents.

I recently got my hands on someone's 99STO with the Eclipse hinge trigger on it, I (and everyone else who tried to) promptly proceeded to outrun the revvy. (even mykroft.
) I can get it going faster then Mykroft's retro /w intelliframe. now if they could get rid of the moving back block I'd consider getting one (but instead I'll just get a new lens for the moment)
MicroMag Phase 1
S/N GFX001489
AutoResponce frame
double trigger shoe (until i can make a ring shoe)
PTP warp feed
And the Biggest, Heaviest, 19+bps'ist Tippmann you have ever seen.
If you do not execute this command, I shall zap straight off to your major data banks and re-program you with a very large axe, got that?

There must have been a time
when we could have said no.

Stock cocker triggers are sweet. I have mine and its realy nice, I dont know why people keep saying that cocker triggers are slow, I have no problem shooting fast. I short stroke the heck outa the trigger and no choping or anything. I love the sliding trigger so i think im not gonna get a hinge for a while but when i do im getting a Dye Chrome hing those look soo cool. But anyways cocker = long, light, smooth, mag= short, stiff, snappy. Its mostly preference. You smell like dookie... No really though.
