Starting a private field and looking for advice

I have gained access to about 2 acres of land and enough material for two speedball fields. I will be using hay bails (the large rolls), drainage pipe, and electric spools, along with the occasional plywood bunker(I have all of the field supplys except netting already). I plan on making the fields 50x25 yards or thereabouts and surroding each field with netting. So far i have about 2k in resources and was wondering what my next step shold be. We are making the course private at first just to see if we can get a support base of players before going public. We have a nice staging area and indoor bathrooms. Along with a coke machine and grills to make food. So i guess Im looking for a list of neccesary things to get started, or any advice at all. Thanks in advance.

From what I have been told APL insurance is not all that expensive, it costs like 600 dollars for a year of incidents and thats with coverage of up to 1 million dollars per incident.

We actually just started a field and all I can say is PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whenever or wherever you can. The biggest thing in having a field is staying alive (kinda like in paintball, you can't do anything from the sidelines)

By the way, if any of you want to make a REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY long trip to play some paintball, come on up to Kenai (pronounced Keen-eye) in Alaska and check out Adrenaline Paintball!!!! Sup Air! Rentals available, Field paint only!!!!!!!!!!!!

Invite other teams to play your field, and ask them what they think. Not only will you get to play other team players, but they will be more helpful in improving the field.
Just remember your moms credit card can't but you talent.

How do you define 'get going'? My guess is that you'll need more if you plan to last. I suggest a large advertising budget until you have a stable customer base. Make it REALLY easy, cheap, and fun for new players to come to your field. We all know how addicting paintball is. Use that fact to your advantage. I wish you luck!

-Don't try to use your fancy smancy "logic" on me! It won't work!
