will a large shocktech drop fit an e-mag?

Will a large shocktech drop fit an e-mag (X-Mag) and not have the battery get in the way? Also does anybody know if an Air Amarerica 4500/88 apocalypse will fit the large shocktech drop?

    Thanks in advance!

That's weird... on my SFL with the long shocktech drop and 68/4500 flatline, I can't take the battery off.

You should be able to. The X-mags have the battery rail slightly milled so you only have to slide the pack down a little before you can tilt it forward and off.

Well I'm 100% certain mine doesn't slide off like that. I've tried it nearly 450 times now.

I'll take a few pics later if you don't believe it hehe. It seems like if the drop were about 1 or 2mm shorter, then I could slide it off.

When I had the long shocktech, I could never get the battery off without taking the drop off, or atleast loosening it abit.

If you get an NW disconnect it drops it down so you can slide the battery off.

rdb123- Is your battery rail milled like this? It should be.

Regular e-mag guys can do this to their rails in a few minutes with a dremel in a few minutes and your packs should be able to drop down, tilt forward and off past the drop.

@Load, yes it is. Maybe I got a really old shocktech drop because mine is anno'd in pewter straight from them...I know they don't make it in that color anymore.

I'll post pics up later when my camera wants to cooperate.

Mine wouldn't clear even with the warp plate spacing the drop down a little, so I milled out a little spacer. It is about the same thickness as the warp plate, now it clears just fine. BTW, I have a standard Emag, not an SFL or X.

Cough..... long Shocktech DropForward, 68/4500 Flatline... SFL Emag. The battery just clears the drop forward when taking it off.
