need opinions/help

last time around on members advice i bought an intelli and lx for my minimag. i must say i am ecstatic with the results. i am coming into 150-200 bucks and i need advice again. do i:
1: get a freak
2: get a red ule body
3: get the new reg piston, mask i need(still use a xfire), new harness, jersey and cleats.
4: get a halo

current setup is a lx minimag w/intelli and stock barrel 110cu 3000# nitroduck

J&J edge kit is great, i liked it better than my freak. If your interested I am selling my mag kit because i just got a ULE, so gotta get cocker threaded stuff. You could get that and have money leftover for other goodies

3 definitley. You need a good mask. Seein and watchin your opponents is half the game

New barrel, but you need a mask. the stock minimag barrels arent very good....its stock..

First thing ya need is a nice mask.

Next I'd get an XValve. Biggest peformance gain for your $.

Stock 'Mag barrels are fine! I used one on my EMag and all my RTs...

if you dont have a retro or X valve i would say just get a normal 12v i never out shot my 12v with my classic valve

yeah i would agree with most of them, go for a mask, then a barrel kit, then maybe a ule body

my usual recommendation for people are in order:

thermal lense mask. (JT Spectras are good deals )

powered hopper. (12v revvy is good enough for mini with classic valve. if you have it, don't need it)

barrel. (mag stock barrel is good, but loud. J&J and CP are great barrel, especially for the money. I have a freak, and I have 2 cocker back, 1 mag back, and 3 tips. since I bought mine used, it was actually economical for me to do it this way. there are other systems that are just as good. matching the bore/paint is more important anyway, and proper setup.

good harness. I have Redz, one of the most comfortable harness. got it used and cheap. just needed a good wash. :) But I am old and fat. You can get cheap soccer/football cleats for tourney. I prefer outdoor hiking boots for rec/woodball.


I just picked up a ULE black, but I have cockers, so I did not need to buy barrel. I will be putting it on my emag.

Frankly, cleats/harness may be higher than barrel.

skoad, sorry dude, barrel has to be red or else id bite. btw how did the freak back fit into the mini body?? enough sticking out to grab onto to twist it on or no?

benfica - stock minimag barrels are good, very good. they only come in one size tho and are not red.

ive been playing for 5 years, moving from woods to more speedball type of stuff. my xfire has been good to me but its old, the added peripheral would be nice also. the cleats(indoor style) i want would be for the new indoor field opening up down the street from my work. i have a 4+1 but i run on gun now so thats why maybe a new harness.

the ule would be just for style(gotta have some of that too) but if there is no feeding benefit from vert feed i just assume wait. i like the minimag body.

Here's my .02...

If you plan on getting an ULE mainbody some day in the near future, skip the pricey barrel set. You'd have to replace it with a 'cocker threaded set. CP barrels are excellent, inexpensive, and can be had in RED!

A classic valved gun doen't require a HALO. A Revy will be just fine (and can be had in RED!)

Get the mask! Proteus' are nice (That's what my Kid uses) I'd like a new Morph myself.

i had the SS freak back, and there was enough sticking out of the mini body to grab onto.

getting a mask and some sort of barrel. where can i get a 10 red cp? if the freak dont fit. no luck online at a lot of places.
