ok heres the deal, i went on a trip to my local proshop, Champion paintball in poughkippsee NY, and i talked to there tech guy there, he has a degree in repairing almost all markers, wgp, wdp spyder, tippmann, etc and yes AGD, i was asking him about the xvalve, because me, and basically everyone who knows about the store, know that this guy is a expert painball tech guy, and what he said supprised me, he said the xvalves werent too good, and that i should wait like 4 months if i wanted one, or just buy a old retro valve now i trust this guy, and believe what he says, until now. i have heard so much good stuff about the xvalve that i have to do an inquiry on it. is it true that the xvalve has problems? plz no flaming on me or the guy, who shall remain nameless, i just wanted to see the other side
xvalve no good?

My guess is he is being conservative and not recommending the first generation of a product. In many circles, especially automotive ones, this is not a bad idea. However, I would certainly trust AGD to fully test a new product before releasing it. Your shop owner/employee is probably just waiting to see if there is any negative feedback or any consistent problems that crop up.

...um...there is no "Degree" in this type of business he is claiming to have and let alone AGD awarding a "Degree" or anything. Some companies offer specific certification but...
That sort of makes me a little curious of his "credentials" he is claiming to have. And that pretty much make his word worthless to me in general right off the bat.
Gimme his name and I check into him. I think me smells a Rat here.

If thats the case he should simply be truthfull and say he doesn't know something. Not make stuff up and hide behind some kind of trumped up credentials that do not exist...Originally posted by deathstalker

Whoa
Whoa, you go to champs too?! Yea, I've talked to M**t, and he doesn't seem to be so fond of the X-Valve, but I'll enlighten him when I get my hands on one.
By the way chunks, where do you usually play, and when do you go to the shop? lol, I'm there almost every weekend usually. PM me
