Custom Products 14 or Dye Ultralight 14?

I have a minimag and I was just about to press the button to order the Dye Ultralight 14" when I saw how many people are raving about their CP barrels (at pbreview.com) so I figured I would investigate. Right now I have a 12" Bigshot Stainless so I figured I would pick up a 14" Barrel. I would probably go with a medium bore CP (I'm pretty sure the Ultralight is Medium also) so really I just want to know if the CP barrels really stand up to more expensive barrels like they say. Any feedback on either of the barrels would be appreciated. Thanks

Hmmm... I've read so many times that people prefer their CPs over their Dye barrels. That's some pretty solid evidence right there...

I sold my Dye barrels off and use CP exclusively as they've proven themselves time and time again. It's really what you like, not what we say...I'd say get the barrel that is cheaper, more than likely it'll be the CP.

yeah, I'm more than happy with my CP... I've owned a 14" Ultralite as well- sold the ultralite. IMO, you're paying twice as much for the DYE name. I like the CPs a lot, so much, I just bought another for my XMag.

Yeah, buy a CP and with the money you have left over from what you would spend on the UL, go buy yourself a case of paint.
