We had a couple of Newspapers run that article over here last week, I thought it was very positive - Will had his Barrel condom on (Safety first!) and was seen enjoying himself whilst wearing the latest kit - this can only help people's perception of Paintball as a Sport as well as a leisure activity.

Same goes to you...Who here can actually claim there is ANYTHING bad with dye? And no, I DIDNT just go buy a jersey and say I am good, we worked for our dye stuff...our sponsorship wasnt handed to us on a platter. And yes, I realise he is rich, but still, that doesnt mean a thing. I wouldnt go get one of those swank motocross outfits and all that crap if I was rich and wanted to get into it, why you say? Because that my friend would make him a poser. I didnt ever say he was good or assume so, but honestly rich or not, if I see somebody with expensive gear I am going to get the thought in my head to take them seriously...sorry. So to all you people who CANT afford that stuff, stop whining! (arnold voice ) Sorry, this post may be a little sloppily written, but it was a rush job...School ya know..

It is nice to see mainstream celebs playing paintball just because it's fun.

Not because it's a celeb tournament, or because some other promotion, but because paintball is fun.

This sends the most positive messege possible about the sport, that it is an activity that it is healthy and fun. Much more helpful then any ten paintball luminaries, or even mainstream celebs, expounding on the sport in order to promote something (i.e. Shatner promoting Shatnerball.)

you shouldnt just get thought to take him seriously from the guys with the expensive equipment. you need to take everyone on the field seriously. the guy who is in camos rocking a spyder is probably just as good as the guy with the baby blue dye jersey rocking the jt tourney pants and an xmag with a warp, not to forget the redz 4.3 dimension pack. ive learned to even take the little kid seriously who rocks the $1500 ir3. cause sometimes they arent just spoiled little brats and actually do have game.

oh yeah and i would like to play with will smith. but id like to do it bad boys style and get some pistolss.

what pointless bantering of flames, its kind of humorous actually anyway, i think its good that some well known people are getting into paintball, good publicity is never something to B and M about. as sad as it is, parents are more likely to let a kid play/do something if famous or well known people do the same thing. it gives parents a sence of security, as rediculous as it is.

I stand on both sides.

1) Gear means nothing. If you have a few bucks you can get nice gear, if you have a lot of a few bucks, then you get REALLY nice gear.

2) But who says he isn't a good player? A lot of stars who are into sports/fitness/etc have been spotted on the paintball fields and are pretty good. Its good for your cardio and its just hella fun ...

In any case ... who cares, its good exposure for the sport anyhow.
