its a foregrip, not a gas through.
you can use a gas through as a forgrip though, they work the same way

I currently have this foregrip on my mini. I like it a lot. However, what I didn't like was the fact that the barrel plug was too hard to see if you were using a black barrel(i.e. Boomstick).

Usually, I always had the refs tell me to put my barrel plug on...and it was. They just couldn't see it because the plug blended so well with the tip of the barrel. Usually, they asked me to tie a band around it or one suggested I painted it. This is understandable as they are trying to keep the "safety first" rule.

However, it was funny at first but eventually, I got sick of having to try to explain to them that I had a barrel plug on. So I bought a barrel condom and that solved my problems...lol!

yea, many fields are outlawing barrel plugs and are making condems a requirement. my field started that this year, honestly i think its a great idea. ive seen plenty of people hurt from a flying barrel plug. they are simply unsafe(in most cases).

I have the Planet Eclipse variation of the Gadget Grip, and my main problem was always forgetting that the plug was in! I had to spend about 5 minutes after many games looking for an ejected plug, then an additional 5 cleaning all the goo out of my barrel. Redz Jimmy solved that problem.

But to answer your question; as previously stated, the Gadget is NOT gas-thru, it is a standard grip.
