    Umm, No

Dont mean to try and sound like a smartas$ here but, if it does not require being cranked to operate, and it uses an eletronic system, that its a minigun, not a gatling gun, even if it is a cheap rip off...

Local weapons expert chiming in again...

The difffrence between a minigun and a gatling gun is basicly the size of the projecticle it is chambered in.

anything below 50 caliber that operates on the gatling principal is a minigun

therefore technicly a paintball minigun could never really exist... it would have to be classfied a full fledged gatling gun. well um yeah that is well kinda

        Only pointless if...

You don't play scenario games... Remember there are tons of people that play paintball that don't play paintball the way you do.

I saw a design like this at the 1995 Indoor National Championships in TN. It was very similar design, but had a mag in the center tube, with the outer tubes spinning around it.

I was getting my gun worked on at the AGD table, and the guy was showing it to Tom. The AGD Airsmith remarked "That must be something real cool, as I have never seen Tom talk to anyone for more than 5 minutes the entire tourney" ...

          Why 8 barrels?

Isn't the point of a real Gatling gun's mutliple barrels heat dissapation? They do not shoot out of more than one barrel at a time either, but while the barrel stack is spinning, the barrel that was just shot has time to cool off.

Paintballs do not really create a lot of heat when passed through a barrel, so the mulitple rotating barrels seems pointless.

Only 3% of the pb playing public plays tourney ball. The other 97% play rec and scenario.

look at this picture... its not shooting out of a middle barrel, its positined at one of the side barrels here so it must shoot through them as they spin. also, where do you see movie theatre seats?
