yes, the 98c can run on nitro.
some tourneys will allow the rt (most will i think).
if you lock the electro down on semi, it will be allowed.

I was looking at the tippy site a while back. They said that you could use hpa on a tippy. But it wouldn't make much differnce at all because it is dessinged for Co2. They sell a converion kit that makes it run realy well on HPA but it's like 3-4 hundred bucks. Not woth it in my opinion when you could use that money to buy a better gun that works great on HPA, like a mag.

m98 will run fine on hpa, you will get more shots out of a 20 oz co2 tank witch is about the same size as a 68ci 3k hpa tank. On hpa I get around 700 shots, on co2 I get around 1000 shots. I would get the hpa if you plan on getting a better marker in the future.

The hpa kit that doug_7 talked about is a little overpriced for any real affects. It will have a little less kick, and not be as loud, and give you a few extra shots.

I would stay away from the electro kit, it does work really well for what it is, but the m98 was not ment to be electro, save your money and go out and have fun on the fields.

            hope that helps ya

I used a crossfire 47ci 3000 on my 98. I found that it worked better than Co2, especially with the response trigger. With Co2 it didn't feel as responsive. Sometimes if I really let go with the response the hosing could get really cold and the response didn't work well.

RTs are not allowed in sanctioned tourneys, and most fields around here don't allow them.

Like wynken said, the one great thing about HPA is that if it's cold it will still work great. But I don't know if liquid is really that much of a problem for tippy's, I mean the onld M68 specials recomended using Siphon tanks, the oposite of anti siphon. They ran better on liguid than gas. I think they still incororate some of that same technology into the M98's. If you are looking for a preformance upgrade don't get HPA. If you are planning to upgrade to a better gun soon, (like a mag), get the hpa so you will have it when you upgrade.
