I might have to go to court over my paintball course

Myself and some friends had built a great little field on some Water Co land in the woods behind his house.We played there a few months with no problems.We had gone and asked all the neighbors around about playing and everything was cool.
About 6 months into working on this field, we had really gotten it transformed into a paintball warzone.We had even spoken to people at the Water Co about our field being on their "right of way", and inquired at the local police station as to the legality of playing in that area.Everything seemed great at this point.
One afternoon in the middle of a game this guy starts walking down the hill into the "swamp" where the field was.We all stop playing and converge on the spot.He says that we are all traspassing and he wants us off his land.Of course we thought he was looney , being that the water co. claimed the property was theirs.
Turns out after having a heated discussion with this fellow,and getting the police called on us.We had to go to the courthouse and find out that the guy really did own the land , and just mostly because of a misunderstanding about the sport wouldn't allow us to play on his portion of the property , the better part of the field.
Not that I can blame him , and the situation is not so much the same.It just really sucks when people who don't know have to mess up your good clean fun.

i have a pb field on private property.. havent had any problems YET but there is alwayz a risk... the near-by neighbors know about it and i alwayz let the people im playin w/ know that the field is on private property and if they feel it is wrong then they shouldnt play... i have had the field up for almost 3 years now and no problems... but onto your problems, this guy is a mental nut-case. violence in this situation seems like a good answer, but sadly wont get you anywhere. put up a GIANT sign, i mean like a full sheet of ply-wood sayin "warning you are now in the range of stray paintballs, protective equipment is strongly advised, the owner of this property is not held accountable for you own stupidity" .. or something along those lines. the netting also sounds like a good idea. also let your paintball buddies know about this physco. take pictures of him w/ the rifle, chainsaw, and cigaretts. take especially good pictures of the smokey chainsaw (tell the court it is a hazard to the health of the operator along w/ inocent by-standards.) and i think the eating the paintball in court is an EXCELLENT idea. if they dont believe they are bio-degradable after that you will at least have them feeling sorry for you that you had to eat one to try to prove a point. another idea i liked was the before and after pics of the bunkers w/ the paint washed away.

i have one final idea to show that the paint does NOT leave marks. you might not like it.. (its a lil risky).. but shoot your car a few times and be like "look ppl if it wasnt water soluble then i wouldnt be litin up my car w/ them would i??" but if u got a rly nice car dont do it!

ooo i got one more!.. i forget who said it but, make his life a living hell!! do everything possible to piss him off, but do it legally. like turn up a stereo (durin the hours the you can not get filed for disturbing the peace) as loud as it goes w/ some type of music that u know will piss him off.. put it in a portable stereo, bring it down to your field, turn it up as loud as possible, and start nailing bunkers together w/ abnoxiously loud hammer hits! if nothing happens at least you will know hes good and pissed and cant do ne thing about it. also you should just shoot air repeatedly out of ur gun to get him to come down
and watch you, and if he says something to you file harrassment charges!..haha... muwhahahahahahahah (im evil like this)

It should be noted that a person cant walk down to annoy you or call the police if his arms, legs, hands, knees, his ribs, or his jaw is broken at the time... This can be done for MUCH cheaper than buying netting or dealing with the courts..

O that crazy Dr Nick... Remember Kids, Bodily harm doesnt ALWAYS have to be done to the person in question! You can go after their Family, Friends, Pets, And possesions TOO!!!!

Speaking of possesions.. You can also: break their windows to their house or car, key their car,bondo the tailpipe closed,slash their tires, cut their breaklines, put sugar in their gas tank, steal any bills they recieve from their mailbox so the repo man comes to their house, Flip their car if youve got the manpower. You can use explosives to: blow up their car, gasline, waterline, front door, mailbox, garage, the base of a tree near his house (so the tree falls onto it)...

My god.. This guy needs to be tuned in.. Damn, it sounds like your showing alot of respect and being as nice to him as possible, while hes just being a prick.. Well damn, he's like a familly like mine doesn't live there.. Hell, we'd find something to sue him for..

But ya, i'd also try to file a restraining order, just get video footage of him hiding in the trees trying to get hit..

Also, if you could, I would highly suggest getting video footage of him hiding in the trees and jumping out/scaring your sister or whoever on there way to school. This and bringing up the fact that he filed a case of your moms dog giving him the "evil eye" alone would probablly get the judge to come to the conclusion that he's a nutcase..

If u do file a case of if he does and u dont win.. the u need to kill ur mom's neighbor, put a sign in front of his house sayin "everyone is welcome to paintball here for $20 bring ur own supplies" and start ur own buisness... hahaha...
