    Omega Rail question...

Is the Omega Body Rail made of aluminum? and if it is, is it lighter than the stock rail? Thanks.

I know it's aluminum but I have no idea if it's lighter or not. Ask Tunaman about that...

thanks Phil. I figured if it was aluminum it would be lighter but it is bigger than the stock rail so I'm not to sure, I'm guessing the weight difference wouldnt be to noticable anyways.

Yes, its not realy all that much difference realy is my guess. I had one in my hand the other day but did not have a stock one to compare it too at the time and never have weighed ether one.

Mag_man_2000: Stock rail is also aluminum. Only the Body tube and valve assembly are stainless on a stock mag.

Also those aluminum rails are able to be lightened even more. I've gotten mine done by RogueFactor. Shaved about 4 oz of weight off.

I noticed a big difference between the 2 rails. 5-6 oz, I'm guessing
