I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a J&J Edge barrel kit with chrome backs. I called J&J and they said they are no longer making the chrome backs and they wouldn't even do one special for me for extra money. I did ask them why they weren't doing the chrome backs anymore and they said the nickel plating flaked off. I've tried to find reviews on this barrel to see if anyone has had problems with the plating flaking off. I found one guy at pbreview.com who complained that after leaving some paint on the barrel for a while that the nickel plating did in fact flake off. I would assume the inside of the barrel is also plated too so that could definitely cause a problem if it flaked. Has anyone with the J&J Edge kits had any problems with the nickel plating flaking ?

nope, they were fine for me.
I doubt your going to find chrome backs anywhere new. Although if your looking for mag style backs i think paintball-discounters.com has a few mag ones in stock (maybe) i know they don't have any other gun.

The entire barrel is aluminum right ? Is the inside of the chrome back also plated ?
