Why doesnt agd make a 90* frame?

i would really love AGD to make a 90* intelliframe. i dont see why they dont. they are so much more comfy when you hold the gun in close because its straight up and down. i have heard angel had a patent on the 90* frames but i have seen them for impys and a couple of other guns and i havnt heard anything about angel sueing them. so why doesnt AGD make a 90* intelliframe? you could call it the Straight frame. or VertFrame or Parrelelframe(spellcheck)

Cuz WDP would throw a fit. Yeah, I know. Silly. But apparently they have "patented" the 90* angle grip. How you patent an angle, I have no idea...

The closest thing to that is the Y frame. It's still in production but there was a thread by Tom in here not too long ago showing some CAD drawings and I think even a prototype mock-up. It's not totally straight and it's not as angled as the Z Grip was. Check it out. Might be what you are looking for.

        hmm

I think I heard that it was a 5% change needed to avoid patent disputes? That would be worthy of a google search as this is pure hearsay.

I just don't get how you can patent an angle... ?

i mean, there would be no similairity to the space frame other than the angle- a 90degree intelli wouldn't fit any guns but the automag, and it's mechanical.

          why, why?
          sigs are overrated.

Not a why or whatever, but the last post on this thread includes pics comparing the angle of the Y frame to the Z grip.

            Something to look at.

One important thing to think about is REALLY just how well they would sell. Z-Grips didn't just fly off the shelves when they came out. It's tough to recoup engineering, set-up & tooling costs if your only going to sell 50 or less units to AO loyalists...just a thought.
