Yea you will have to sand, but be warned.
HALO HORROR STORY!
Friend of mine, had his halo for a while sanded it to feed his imp feed neck. First time I played with him he had a feed problem. No big deal rite? Wrong. He took the Imp feed neck off and the outer layer of "meat" was broken off in the imp feedneck. Luckly we were saved. Because that day just happen to be the day when the youth group rented out the woods and there were tons of girls there and they saved us with pretty pink nail polish. So remember be easy with the sand paper and when you don't have epoxy use nail polish.
