It's an amazing gun...light(er), small(er), efficient(with level 10...I even ran mine without lvl 10 for some time and it worked pretty good)...not to mention its made to last. I had one with an intelliframe on it...it was wonderful...sniff...I miss my baby. Mine was also an Rt...which I recommend...both guns that I have ever owned were automag and Rt...one was a classic...the other was a mini...but I love em'

      welcome to AO.

just so you know, automags and minimags are basically the same marker. the minimag has a longer body shroud and a vertical bottle adaptor...and that's about it.

setup is very easy...if you're going to use co2, an expansion chamber is highly recommended.

      good upgrades include:
      level 10 bolt kit
      intelliframe
      RT valve

if you've heard of the x-valve, it combines the level 10 bolt kit and the RT valve inyo a lighter package than the RT valve.

      good luck

well, also, the automag is a wy better deal than the mini IMO. you can build it up the way you want without having a lot of wasted extra parts.
        sigs are overrated.

basically everything you need to make a minimag on crack can be found at store.airgun.com or out of your local shop. If you want a Retro mag, buy a RT Pro. EXACT same performance as any other retro mag out ther, and al you need is a nitrogen or HPA bottle for it. The RT will also cost much less in the long run.

Welcome to AO! Since no one has mentioned it yet, let me be the first to point you towards the classified forums. If you check the Markers section once a day for 3-4 days you normally will be able to find any gun that you are looking for. Since you are in the market for a mag I highly suggest using the Classified section because mags are very hardy machines and keep their quality. Make sure you do your research on whoever you are dealing with and you should be set. My (concise) advice on mags:

Classic vs Mini, Mini looks cooler but a few ounces lighter, however same gun over all.

Level 10 bolt, you need it, it makes life so simple and easy. It eliminates chops entirely.

Inteli/RT valve/X Valve serious upgrades, but do change mags into serious guns.

Nitro, almost a must for mags, I highly recommend it.

You can pick up a nice package in the classifieds with nitro sometimes. Any questions PM me or post here :)

Well since everbody listed almost everthing, They are great guns. But you should get a for grip or gas-thru. and a nice drop just to start out with.then lvl 10, intelli.retro, or you could just get the x-valve
